SEO Writing Guide #2

In my previous SEO Writer's Guide, I presented a broad scope of methods you can use to add value to your posts. These time proven methods have helped thousands of sites increase their viability, and will continue as such for the foreseeable future. After understanding the techniques presented in the previous SEO Guide, you will certainly appreciate these simple methods to boost your posts further.

1. Link Your Article To Other Related Content

There are multiple ways to create relevant links to your article. Incorporating them within paragraph text is the most common. Statements such as, "If you enjoyed reading this, then you'll love (link here)" or before you read this article, make sure you understand (link there)" are great ways to encourage readers to look at other content on your site. This isn't the only way to extend your reachm and showcase your relevancy, though. Providing link to outside sources is another way to build up your search engine clout. One website, MOZ.com, offers a plethora of link building strategies. Most of these are easily usable, and may give you the boost you've been looking for, within a week.

One method that a lot of people overlook is page citing. Not only are you working to build links pertaining to your perceived wealth of knowledge, you are paying homage to those people who may have actually taught you what you know about your niche. Also, you probably legally, morally should provide some sort of insight as to your sources. You certainly weren't born with the inter-workings of Google and Bing search engines imprinted within your medulla. Understand, there is nothing wrong with acknowledging someone else's work. It does not diminish your character in the least. So keep it real, and increase your chances of success at the same time.

2. Obtain Links To Your Content From Other Pages

This is NOT a tricky strategy! Neither is the overall purpose of it. As you build links to others' content to increase your visibility, external links pointing your site help tenfold. If you have written an incredible article, it's likely that someone will include you as a source in their writing, or they included your knowledge within their own site directory. The next technique is absolutely essential to gaining notoriety through other pages.

By the way, please do not paste a bunch of spam links to your site in other blogger's comment sections. It is the easiest way to get shot, stabbed, bur- banned from a site, entirely. And trust me, they will let the world know about the pesky individual who spammed their page with irrelevant links.

3. Share Your Incredible Content With The World

Even if you haven't written the most incredible, engaging and life-altering piece of your life. Post it on your site, share it with an online community (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) and start playing the field, so to speak. You'll be glad you did. If you have accounts across multiple social media platforms, you have already been optimizing your site. You probably just don't realize it, yet. Tweets, Pins, and whatever other colloquial names posts go by all serve as links to your site. When members share your content, it makes it easier for search engines to find their way back to you and your site(s). Try to "Google" yourself, or at least your (nickname) handle. You should be able to see your social media accounts, articles you've written and shared, and links to your content from others. Assuming that such links exist. It's incredible how quickly the web picks up what you put down.

-Remember, it is absolutely essential to make all your content easily shareable! Include social platform links in every single page of your site. Most domain carriers' themes already incorporate this, but there's nothing wrong with making sure.

4. Be Mindful Of Link Saturation

Sharing, giving and receiving back links for your webpages is awesome, right? We shouldn't forget that gluttony is a sin, however. When writing your own articles, do not put links in every single sentence. Google, Yahoo, Bing and even nobodysearchengine.com will view your content as irrelevant, or malicious. A good rule of thumb to use for your linkages is 3-8%. That's the amount of content that your keywords and links should be comprised of. Everything else should be catered towards supporting those keywords. Remember, anyone can say where Walmart is. That's nothing noteworthy. If you can tell someone about a Walmart's inventory, least crowded hours, and quality of particular employees, then your information becomes increasingly valuable. Expansion and brevity are the key, here.

5. Treat It Like It's Alive

Because it is. You provide your website with breath to speak to the masses, eyes to see across the entire internet and ears to listen to all the haters constructive criticism. That being said, your pages need to be fed in order to grown and thrive. Build upon your pages, and you shall see your baby webpage grown into a domineering force in your niche. Starve your page, by ignoring SEO-friendly practices and link building methods, and it will soon wither away. Maybe not so poetic. But still, you put your name on it. That fact alone should be enough to put real work into creating strong, quality links and engaged visitors.

Thanks for reading my SEO Writing Guide. If you need more information on how NOT to incorporate these techniques, please consult my Black Hat SEO guide. It serves as an excellent way to see Google rank increases from multiple angles.

Beware the SEO Warlocks!!! (A guide to Black Hat Optimization)

Nobody ever said your climb to the top would be simple. If it was, would it really be worth your time? Of course not! Simplicity brings overpopulation. When too many people are at the top... suddenly, the peak turns into the base. You have to climb higher. Ascend above what our minds tell us is the "best" and travel beyond "comfortable" expectations. Research will tell us that most people don't have the fortitude to reach past their limits. History tells us that it doesn't matter, unless everyone knows about it. I will tell you that no one should decide your motivation, nor your destination, except you. What ultimately matters is HOW you are remembered. Not whether you have a legacy or not. Are you Honest Abe, or John Wilkes Booth? Kennedy or Oswald? Will you practice White Hat or Black Hat SEO?

And, What Exactly is meant by Black Hat Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

http://seo.eveofsolution.com, Search Engine Optimization, Link Building, SEO, SEO Marketing, Black Hat SEO
Black Hat SEO is simply put, tactics employed to abuse the algorithm used by search engines to garner ranking your site hasn't earned. People who engage in black hat methods, normally do not focus on an audience, so much as they do data points. Example. Have you ever clicked a link for what you thought was the exact item you wanted, only to find you've visited some random search engine? Or, have you clicked a link and the entire site was full of random information. To the point that what you wanted can't even be indexed? If you answered yes, then you know exactly why Google, Yahoo and other search engines frown upon Black Hat SEO techniques. They do nothing more than waste you time, and provide no depth of information you may actually need. Lots of websites using this artistry are very affiliate ad heavy, and offer an array of useless links and open-ended info. In short, search through www.thisisexactlywhatyouneed.lies all day long and you will gain nothing. What's more, after a while, these sites disappear, because Google finally figures out their game, and bans whatever they offer.

There are also lighter versions of underground SEO, most webmasters don't even realize they use. Though they won't necessarily garner bad reviews from your peers (they'll just think you're an angelic idiot) search engine algorithms will still treat you as an online outlaw, internet thug... website fel- you get the idea! I've provided a short list below. For a more comprehensive version, please reference "44 Techniques That Tank Your Site (Black Hat SEO Techniques)"

Keyword Stuffing, Irrelevant Keywords, Bait and Switch, Content Automation, Cloaking, Malicious Content, Content Scams, Link Manipulation, Content Spamming, Crowded Footer Links... The possibilities are a lot more numerous than this. Right now, I will only tackle a couple practices.

These Black Hat Tactics Will Get You Shot!! Penalized by Search Queries

Negative SEO: Falsely reporting your competitors, in order to lower their rankings while simultaneously boosting your own. Hopefully, you won't cause irreparable damages to someone else's site. Still a douche move, though.

Article Spins: Totally rewording a noteworthy artistic work to mimic an exceptional amount of knowledge or expertise. Sounds like copyright infringement, but not quite. Since people can't get arrested for it, they assume it's not wrong. Or, they call it "recognizing" greatness...

Content Scraping: Doesn't sound LIKE copyright infringement, because it IS copyright infringement. This content is usually taken from a collection of publishers, and used manipulated to look like common knowledge, or expert knowledge. It is certainly neither. And you could get shot penalized by Google and law enforcement agencies by trying this.

Now that you have some understanding of what Black Hat SEO entails, and the damage it may cause, I would hope that you would not try it out. But what type of person would I be to completely bash something, without providing an upside to it. In other words, the real reason why Black Hats are worn. To detect, corner and eventually catch the criminal, you must first understand them, after all. Furthermore, believe it or not, there are people who simply do not care about being caught stuffing, falsely linking and whatever fake engine optimization is working for them that hour.

One huge reason SEO Warlocks (Black Hats) exist, is because they relish the quick dollar. That being said, a person could make a sizable income, building and destroying useless websites and disrupting Google's rating system. The $3,000 a person makes with each site will definitely add up. And in the end, most bloggers and website owners, are just looking for money. Trying to quit their 9-to-5, spend more time with family, there's an array of reasons. I personally wouldn't engage, because I want to be more Washington Post, than liarsandfakelinks.com. Some people are willing to give up their legacy for material gains. Recognize this, and you won't fall victim to, or accidentally implement Black Hat SEO.

The SEO Writer's Guide (Optimize Your Ranking Potential)

“If You Are Working On Something That You Really Care About, You Don’t Have To Be Pushed. The Vision Pulls You.”- Steve Jobs

Generally, we all have a magic vision of the future. Some ultimate reality that could be possible if only this and that happens. The problem with that is, we often have no clue where to begin this vision. Well, look no further. Your vision of increasing your site's notoriety begins here!If you read my first post, "SEO for New Bloggers" then you should have been expecting this little gem to pop up. If not, no worries, the link above is all you need to catch up!

Everyone who starts a website wants some form of traffic
http://seo.eveofsolution.com SEO, writing guide, web optimizationdrawn to it. We don't all want to be the superstar webmaster. But, only having six visitors a week is no fun, either. Sadly, that is a reality some very unlucky bloggers and merchants have to deal with daily. If I were to tell you that you deserve more traffic, I would be lying to you. The amount of traffic you earn is a reflection of how much effort you put in to gaining. That said, you can easily change your fate. Eventually gaining hundreds, if not thousands of visitors, daily. There is only one way to do this: Search Engine Optimization. And, in this guide I will discuss some easy ideas to get you on your way to the internet prestige you've been working so hard for.

First off, you absolutely have to know what you want to do. Have a goal! You don't have to be the master at anything, just yet. But, you should WANT to gain more authority in a particular field. Even the greatest minds on earth still research their specialties from time to time. I'm not talking about your site design, that will change over and over, I promise you. I'm talking about your overall reputation. Do you want to build a social network? Is your goal to have an SEO bible? Do you just want to capitalize on a trend and leave the site, altogether? The choice is yours. A little commitment is all it will take to see it through, though.

Not in a Care Bears sort of way. More of a...this is what I aim to do and, this is how I will accomplish it. Write it out. Recite it. Make a Rap Song ab-... maybe we shouldn't go that deeply into it. The point is: if you don't fully understand why your website would be awesome, why would anyone else. No one is going to click on your link out of pity. They're going to click it because you're the (wo)man!! And because you follow SEO-friendly writing techniques.

Now that you're all hopped up and ready to show the world how truly fantastic your site is, make it searchable. Create a list of twenty different ways a potential client may find you. This will serve as your search engine keyword structure. For example, if your site specializes in country music downloads, you might say a client could find you the following ways:

http://seo.eveofsolution.com SEO, writing guide, web optimization
1. New Luke Bryant Album
2. March 2017 Country Songs
3. Honkey-Tonk Badonka-Donk Download
4. Dolly Parton Greatest Hits
5. New Country Music
6. Craving You Thomas Rhett

As you finalize your keyword queries, consider creating special pages. These pages would be dedicated to the most prevalent amount of searches pertaining to your Niche. For the above example, New Country Music would likely be the most highly searched of all. So, create a page, where you place the hottest songs of the week, or even month. Not only would this be a sound building practice, creating such a simple way to navigate your site will net you more repeat customers.

For any blogger, one of the greatest failures is to neglect structuring of your content to suit the reader's needs. Many revered bloggers would tell you to just get your first post(s) out of the way, as a way to rid yourself of some jitters. I say, if you take a bit of time and make sure your post is natural, SEO-friendly and engaging. You won't have to worry about it later on. Besides, pretty much every major blogger takes time to plot out every post. Otherwise, they wouldn't rank so high in search engines.
http://seo.eveofsolution.com SEO, writing guide, web optimization

Don't wait your whole life to click "publish". You just need to read through what you're giving your audience, to make sure it's legit and won't get a missile thrown in your direction. Make sure you've completed the purpose of the piece. Check your keyword alignment. Ensure your links point to the proper pages. Evaluate sentence and paragraph structure. Put your own style into each post, to make them even more unique. Treat every post like it's your job to be the authority in your field, because pretty soon, it will be.

A good friend can take care of two things for you, with concerns to your SEO formatting: letting you know if your content is engaging enough. And informing you of whether you sound natural, or not. If your own friends cringe while reading your articles, chances are, you need to go back to the drawing board. You may even want to consult with a professional, if you have that resource available.

I'm not saying that your only purpose in life is to mimic everything that works. But, keep it real. If the competition is getting high quality visits and links, you should understand how they accomplish this. Read their materials, look at the comments on their posts. Notice what they are and aren't doing right. Learning how to better serve the needs of the public will only increase the potency of your site. The greatest SEO tools will always fail to please the masses, if they go towards promoting ignorance and incompetency. You should want someone to learn from your articles. Trust in the fact that your competition will accomplish this. Your goal should be to exceed.

If you only take one thing away from this article, I hope it's that you are the best at what you do. Only you can do it. No one else can be blamed for the monumental success, or the heartbreaking failure of your online ventures. This SEO writing guide will help push you in the right direction, but it won't complete the work for you. Dedicate a little of your precious time a few times a week. Before you know it, the entire optimization process will become child's play.

I look forward to hearing my audience's feedback on SEO writing. Anything you can contribute to this art will definitely help other readers, as well.

SEO For Dum... New Bloggers

For a public speaker, there is nothing worse than spending hours working on a presentation, only to lose your audience. When you see them fall asleep, play on their phones and have side discussions, it all takes away from the impact you hoped your work would have. That's exactly what happens to someone who doesn't post SEO rich content on their site. If you don't try to achieve optimal results within search engines, you may as well just place your services in the phone book, because you'll have the same chance at drawing an audience there. I have posts delving much deeper into SEO, but for now let this guide introduce you to the process.

So what exactly is SEO?

http://seo.eveofsolution.com, Search Engine Optimization, Link Building, SEO, SEO Marketing, New Bloggers
SEO is the acronym for Sorcery... Search Engine Optimization. An internet marketing strategy used to positively effect the visibility of websites, in order to boost non-advertised ranking within a search engine. In short, SEO pertains to the ranking you earn when your site niche is searched for. Generally, the higher your site ranks within a keyword pool, the more likely potential customers are to visit. If you're looking to earn residual income, SEO is one of the most valuable tools you have to offer. Some may argue this point (and I welcome them to) but, I think SEO is actually more important than deep content. Only in the premise of attracting visitors, of course. No matter what you feel, the fact is that Google cannot measure your IQ, or passion. But it can measure how well your site correlates to what people are searching for.

Who cares if my site contains SEO rich content?

You...Google, Yahoo, Bing, but surprisingly no one else. When your keyword placement abilities are at their best, no one will even notice how you've reeled them in. At your worst...your site will be banned from search engines, altogether. Yes, it is possible for a site to be blacklisted. Write posts to the effect of "SEO is good. because SEO gets visits, and chicks dig SEO, too SEO SEO SEO, Search Engine Optimization Rulez!!!" and Google will not recognize your site as one offering relevant knowledge in the area of Search Engine Optimization. You can click here to find out more about these sort of "Black Hat" tactics. We won't focus on that sort of optimization, in this post. In the end, just let your ideas flow in a natural manner, you can add or modify statements to optimize later on.

How do I write SEO friendly content?

Research, research and even more research. Just having a certain word in your article 3,465 times isn't enough to increase ranking. It's all about the context in which you use the words. You have to provide depth. The way people search for words and phrases is unique to each individual. And even then, a person may search for "plumber services" at 8 a.m. and "plumbers near me" at 3 p.m. When you have postings offering plumbing services in a branded location, however, you are within that umbrella. I talk a lot more in-depth about SEO writing here. But suffice to say, that is the basic concept to use through your posts. Just telling the internet what you offer in a variety of ways. Ways you have seen actual people search for recently. And linking that to other articles you have written on the subject, as well.

As for how to figure out the different ways people search for your particular specialty, check out The definitive guide to keyword research." It's absolutely free, if you have Amazon Kindle Unlimited!!

In closing, there are many different methods of SEO management. Some search engine ranking techniques may be a bit better than others, that doesn't mean you should employ them all. Do what works for you. Master that process, until it becomes a natural routine. Obtaining your optimal ranking isn't magic. That being said, it won't happen overnight, either. Just keep practicing sound SEO-friendly writing, and you will see yourself on those first two pages on Google in no time.
